In the night hours of November 8, 1991 after receiving intelligence information that the Czechoslovak ship ČSPD TR Šariš unloaded smuggled weapons (commander TR Šariš Captain Eduard Melce and the crew claimed others) in Kopački Rit at the port of Apatín, commander of the warship RML 308

class Botica "minolovac 308" from the 3rd RRF section of the base in New Sade decided to prevent it and the power of weapons to separate it from the shore. After opening his fire, the RML 308 mine was trapped and, as the ship was a light target, he was hit by the handheld shooters of "Ambrust" and "Zolja". At the moment Lampret Kristijan, Marković Stevan, was killed. Commander Zoran Marković hurt the sniper. Seriously wounded, with the help of the crew drove the ship ashore, rescued her and the ship RML 308 before the sinking. The crew of the CSPD took the Ukrainian tugboat safely to safety and returned for a paralyzed tug. According to the crew of the tugboat Saris (and the author\'s opinion, he was on the inspection of the damaged vessel in Bratislava), the firing of fast-firing cannons RML 308 damaged among other things the wheelhouse and operating fuel tanks TR Saris. The team triggered a fire on the tugs. After extinguishing his cruise, he was unplugged for repairs to the shipyard in Bratislava. The event happened on November 8, 1991, at a time when the international Danube river cruise route in the state territory of Yugoslavia was from the border of Velka Gradiste to Bezdan.

Firm Bata\'s Airport in Borovo began to be landscaped in the spring of 1932. Originally it was a few meadows beside the Danube River, although it was possible to land with smaller planes, but their condition did not provide a safe takeoff and landing all year round. The areas had to be leveled and drained, including the necessary safeguards against the spring floods of the Danube.

The airport was inaugurated May 12, 1934 in the presence of the senior management of firm Baťa. That day there was a big air holiday on which a number of different airplanes took off, some from the UK. Pilots\' production attracted tens of thousands of viewers to the new airport. At that time, there were similar events to the exception. As a result, the opening and normal operation of Borovo Airport has been preserved.

Of the firma Baťa Borovo Airport, a joint stock company in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia in the interwar period. Since 1934, Aerodrom Borovo has had a grassy runway runway, a permanent meteorological service and a radio station. A warehouse of aviation fuel, lubricants and spare parts was built, a house for the airport manager, a waiting room for passengers and a smaller business office equipped with direct telephone lines and accessories on the other side of the hangar. Before World War II, it flew from Otrokovice at least twice a week. In addition to the board of directors, various goods and special tools were flown, which had to be shipped quickly from the factory for production reasons.

In addition to the regular specials from Otrokovice, when the Aero A-35s alternated here, they also landed: Lockheed Electra OK-CTA and OK-CTB, Stinson SR-10C Reliant OK-ATP, also flew Cierva (Avro) C.30A and many other interesting aircraft. Firma Baťa also had several aircraft under Yugoslavian matriculation. From Light Zlin Z-XII to several De Havilland DH.60A Puss Moth (eg YU-PAX). They were mostly piloted by Yugoslav pilots.

In the middle of 1932, production was also inaugurated in a new plant in Borovo, where Baťa firma started producing shoes for several Balkan countries. By doing so, Baťa firma avoided customs and other trade restrictions.

Yugoslavian textiles and footwear were on average less durable, but more respectful of the taste of the younger generation. For an elegant leather jacket and a fashion shirt, the author paid three times the price of similar goods sold in the Danube shopping mall in Bratislava. In addition, PZO Tuzex Bratislava was able to buy elegant Yugoslav winter fur coats and winter sports gear.

Individual Baťa factories in different countries cooperated with each other in the years 1939-1945. The biggest participant of the Slovak part of the Baťa joint-stock company was His Honorary Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Slovak Republic JUDr Martin Mičura in 1939-1945. His position on the board was crucial. The author of the article has been convinced since 1965 that respect and thanks belong to Mr. Tomáš Baťa and the social group he represented, his purposeful and correct employee and, last but not least, His Honor JUDr. Martin Mičura.

In 1947 the Baťa Borovo airport was nationalized and renamed Borovo - Jugoslavenski kombinat gumi i obuče. In the late 1980s, 23,000 employees worked hard. They have produced around 23 million pairs of shoes and over 582,000 tires of different types per year.

Today, Vukovar is back in operation. Even Borovo-Vukovar Airport operates, albeit with a reinforced grass runway with limited hangar options. There is also a warehouse for aviation fuel and lubricants. On the glass panels of one part of the local hangar, the Baťa logo remains to be seen today. The footwear group gave the basis on which to build the next generations of Yugoslavian and now Croatian airmen.
