Ondrejkovič in the wind of time

Emperor Leopoldus I. mend coats and confirmed Armales which hold a Liptov-Mara provost Andreas Ondrejkovicz and Mr. Gaspar Lipthay the 1659th

Leopoldus I *06.09.1640 †05.05.1705 in the years 1657-1705 Habsburg Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire of German Nation in the years 1658 to 1705, the years 1657 to 1705 Czech and Hungarian king. After the death of the Spanish king Charles II did not recognize as his successor Philip of Anjou (claimed the throne for the son of Charles), which also gave rise to the greatest armed conflict of the first half of the 18th century, ie War of the Spanish Succession. Emperor Leopold I signed the first patent Imperial Robotics, which confirmed the relationship between serfs and landlords. During his reign military expenditure particularly affected the budget of the country.

Leopoldus Iascended the throne after his father Ferdinand III. to the place of a brother who died. He was the epitome of absolutism. War with Turkey and France forced him to maintain a large army. In 1683 the allies defeated the Turks at the Battle of Vienna and then after a series of crushing victories - the Battle Nagyharsány (1687), Battle of Zenta (1697) pushed them to the Balkans, where he supported the local nobility in its battle against the Ottoman Turks.

Re prudently mend noble titles and confirmed the rights of several Hungarian by birth, which later participated in these struggles on his side. Ensure a politically support of the majority of the Catholic aristocracy religiously unstable environment in Hungary against evajelickej of nobility.

Emperor Leopoldus I. reformed and confirmed Armales also Liptov-Mara titular provost and canonic Andreas Ondrejkovicz and Gaspar Lipthay. The lists are dated 1659th year of our Lord ThDr. Ondrejkovicz Andreas (Andrew Ondrejkovič) patron, church dignitary (born year of our Lord 1621 in the village of Spis Štiavnica district. Such as yes and no, according to the oral tradition of the patriarchs of the genus comes the family Ondrejkovič from Leskovac. Here allegedly had his castle. Emigrated to Hungary after the defeat of the Ottoman Turks from his people and movable property. Horses topped bearish furs. From what can be deduced quite real to the environment in which they lived, what was their way of life and what was their social status.

After 1541, a large part of Hungary (except Upper Hungary and Transylvania) was occupied by the Turks. Many nobles who left their property at home settled in the cities of Upper Hungary. Here they claimed privileges from the title of their origin, but they were only a nuisance to the cities. Numerous conflicts arose from this...which often ended in bloodshed. The whole situation had to be solved by the Viennese court.....Emperor Ferdinand III. finally, he ordered the cities that poor noble refugees from the southern regions of Hungary were to be preferentially accepted into the city military garrisons. On July 20, 1561, György Pravoticzky was the Decurio of the military garrison (after the fall of Szigetvár, the last Christian fortress of Transdanubia), Várpalota, commanded by the winner of 600 battles, the castle Captain György Thury. The crew of 200 hussars and haiducs did not take their mercy, they lived with their families only with what they captured the Turks. Equipment, equipment and horses haiducs and hussars also procured at their own expense.

Baron Thúry Gyorgy had common ancestors with Mrs. Pirina Ondrejkovičová born Elephanti (Magdolna Thury, born Elephanti), wife of the procurist of the Thonett company Tibor Ondrejkovič's brother of Lt. Colonel Aladár II Ondrejkovič.

The social classification of the nobles confirms the ownership of the fur of predatory animals. Inventory of wedding equipment, which in 1572 Sp. D. Franciscus Beniczký issued Euphrosin, the daughter of poor Joannes Mičinský, among the clothing of the fur (fur coats) lined with marten and knuckle throats, as well as the fox lined fur. In testament Franciscus Beniczký in 1576 bequeathed to his wife Catherine wolf back and red wolf underbelly. He also had his wife make a small kuna with a velvet and a damask-shaped sock lined with marten. From the dispute between the yeomans Benedict Beniczky and György Nevery in 1580 we learn that in 1568 Benedict Beniczky donated two wolf fur coats sewn and made from a wolf's back in the value of 4 gold. Their appreciation suggests that the elaborated wolf fur was of relatively high value.

The French, who - as planned - were attacked and overpowered in the back, ran away wildly, with many prisoners taken. However, not all of them could be captured due to the mountainous and forested terrain. In connection with this battle, a hussar sergeant is reported who is particularly distinguished: Ivan Andrejkovits from the 5th Squadron of the Blankenstein Hussars belonged to the division that came from Hubak-ker to the French from the south in the back should fall (Ettigswald camp). Commanded to lead a squad of twelve men, he overran the leading position of the French camp and caused such confusion that the two companies could no longer form and those three officers and 70 men who could not escape into the forest , had to take the path to captivity. The Emperor's hussars had also been ordered to support this attack, and Archduke Karl later took the view that the Frenchman's retreat was not prompted by the Rittmeister Revey's "unstalked" attack, but was accelerated. GeneralFWmstr. Meerveldt believed that the happy outcome of the battle was due to him. Author: Reiner Vogt The defense of the northern Ortenau during the 2nd coalition war (1799-1802).

The author wishes to draw attention to the name of the boy Carolus Naopoleon Ondrejkovics, who was born on 11.05.1807. His father was Samuel Ondrejkovics. It suggests that part of the family held reform posts from the 17-18th century not only after the genera Rákoczi and Thököly, but also Sandor de Szlavnicza. This is confirmed by the first name of Napoleon Leni György, the son of János Jarolin and his wife Katalin Andrejkovics in Bánovce nad Bebravou. He was baptized on March 23, 1843.

Dry Rat ? In the first half of the 19th century, noble stools in Hungary were so autonomous in their history as in the history of European law, at that time about 52 "small kingdoms" of the fifty-two counties. One power for all - had the right to refuse to observe the rule of law and the law if they believed that they were contrary to the spirit of the Constitution, or that they prevented local affairs in their fulfillment. Until 1848, only the local nobility, which was according to Hungarian historical statistics, to the north of the Slovak-Hungarian language border was mainly Slovak. According to Elek Fényes, the founder of the Hungarian statistics in 1847, a year before the Revolution in Orava there lived 2 456 members of the aristocracy, but only 300 had Hungarian nationality, Liptov lived 2 456 members of the nobility, of which 500 Hungarians, in Trencin 9 813, of which 200 Hungarians, while in Zvolen 2 152 of which 200 Hungarians. About this Slovak nobility it can be said that it was predominantly made of earthworms, but its members were also present in the elite groups of individual families, while members of Slovak nobility are also found among high-level county politicians and officials.
